Join The LOT Project, the United Way of Anderson, and the Anderson County Library for a book club discussing poverty, inequality, and how we can better care for our community. Everyone is invited and anyone who has read the book is encouraged to attend!
This month will look a little different as our discussion will be more around the isses of poverty and education broadly and will be led by David Moore the Dean of Academic & Career Foundations at TCTC. We will be reading one (or more!) of these books: Rethinking Education and Poverty by William Tierney, Teaching with Poverty in Mind by Eric Jensen, Starving the Dream by Nathan F. Alleman Et al, Savage Inequalities by Jonathan Kozol, or The Poverty and Education Reader by Gorski and Landsman.
